Current Gospel Growth Studies

Spiritual Disciplines

Teacher: Will Galkin
Location: Auditorium True Christian disciples desire to be more like Christ. Yet, many Christians question their ability to grow spiritually? Thankfully, the grace of God given at salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus sets His disciples free to pursue Christlikeness. Colossians 3:1 says, “[Since] you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above.” But, be warned. This pursuit, while possible, can be difficult. This pursuit requires discipline.  Join Pastor Will Galkin and Pastor Jon Albright for a five-week exploration of the essential Christian Disciplines. The Disciplines of Bible Intake, Scripture Meditation, and Prayer will be explained, and practical suggestions will be given for you to begin to practice the Essential Christian Disciplines.

Teacher: Joe Skinner
Location: Café At Gospel Grace Church, we love Salt Lake City. As a church, loving our neighbor is something we are all called to do. But what motivates us to love our neighbors and our neighborhoods? And what if you just don’t get along with your neighbor? Join us for this 5 week study starting July 7 as we study all this and more by digging into what the Bible has to say about loving our neighbors.

Systematic Theology

Teacher: Lukus Counterman
Location: Basement Hall The Christian church has a long tradition of systematic theology, i.e, a discipline of study that seeks to present “systematically” of all the doctrinal truths of the Christian faith. Through this two part series, we will touch upon all of the major heads of Christian doctrine. In this first part, we will study the doctrine of the word, the doctrine of God, the doctrine of the Holy Spirit, the doctrine of the church and the doctrine of man. We will look to and study the Bible as we discuss each of these heads and the impact that these doctrines ought to have on our lives.

Teacher: Jon Kopp
Location: Loft Elizabeth Eliot has wisely said, “If you are single today, the portion assigned to you for today is singleness. It is God’s gift. Singleness ought not to be viewed as a problem, nor marriage as a right. God in his wisdom and love grants either as a gift.” That is the perspective that I hope to approach this 5 week study on Singleness with. According to 1 Corinthians 7:7, if you are single, God has given you a gift. But, what does that mean? Join me as we take a week each to discuss this topic through the lens of identity, impact (the freedom & use of your gifts), friendship, and contentment. We won’t try to cure singleness, but we will seek to find God’s design for it.
