Passage: Jonah 1:7-17 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: Jonah

Length: 27 mins 12 secs Plays: 2446

Speaker: Lukus Counterman - The Sovereignty of God over a believer through every phase of his life is astounding in Jonah 1:7-17. God had even orchestrated Jonah’s life, Jonah’s rebellion, and Jonah’s consequences so that they would be tools needed to convert sinners. The storm created by Jonah’s rebellion was the perfect backdrop for them to meet the one true God, the One who governed the sea. Do you ever mourn a season of your life that you feel held wasted years with no redeeming qualities? God can use anything! He’s the Master of taking the bits and pieces of our leftovers and making something amazing out of it. He gives “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” so that He might be glorified (Isa. 61:3). Have you, like Jonah, mishandled the divine interruptions that have come your way? God can use anything, even the leftovers, for His glory.
