Passage: Luke 10:1-24 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: Luke - Past Promises, Present Redemption

Length: 1 hr 7 mins 5 secs Plays: 175

Speaker: Lukus Counterman - In Luke 10, Jesus sends a large band of disciples to go abroad from town to town. He commissions them to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom, healing the sick along the way. We discover from the text that his followers have great success. They cast out demons, preach the gospel, and heal many who are diseased. But when they share the news of their triumphs and rejoice in their victories, Jesus directs them to objects of greater joy, namely their own eternal life and God’s sovereignty in salvation. As we look into our text this weekend think about God’s gracious will and elective purposes in salvation. Consider his power over Satan and his mercy in redemption. And may the Lord cause us to rejoice to the praise of his glory!
