Speaker: Lukus Counterman - Because of our new identity in Christ, we are called to give careful attention to how we live our lives. Christians are supposed to be marked by wise living and constant worship. But this is only possible through the work of the Holy Spirit. In Ephesians 5:15-21, Paul emphasizes our need to be controlled by or filled with the Spirit. Like wind filling a sail and carrying a boat along, so the Spirit needs to fill a believer’s life and move him or her along the course of God’s will. The results that emerge from a Spirit-filled life glorify God and display his worth to a watching world. May God help us to submit to and cooperate with the work of the Spirit in our lives today.
