Speaker: Lukus Counterman - In Daniel 1 we are introduced some Hebrew youths who endured a long exile in Babylon. Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah faithfully navigated the difficulties associated with living in an ungodly culture. As we look at their lives, they give us hope that it’s possible to remain loyal to God in our own day and age. The sovereign Lord who guided Daniel and his friends in Babylon is the same God who will guide his faithful people today. While we may live as exiles in this world (1Pet. 1:1), we await our King and his kingdom. We strive to live faithful to God and his law. And until his return, we remain Exiles in Expectation.
